What to Remember from Lesson

12.6. What to Remember from Lesson#

  1. A changing magnetic influence can create an electric current, while a stationary magnetic influence cannot. This is called induction and the historical name is Faraday’s law.

  2. This is to go along with Oersted’s discovery that an electric current creates a magnetic influence.

  3. Mechanical energy can be derived from electrical energy and motors do that. Likewise, mechanical energy can create electrical energy and generators do that.
